SPRING FLING

This last weekend we had an event called: Spring Fling. It is a time when venders set up in the park, in the town of Molalla, and peddle their wares. I was their at the Author's Table peddling my books along with everyone else. Saturday was the best day. No rain, not too cold, and we had sun. Around these parts, SUN is a blessing. There was music and dancing. People went from booth to booth. Some purchased stuff from vendors, but some of the people just chatted with everyone. Most of the vendors I only see at events, so this was a good time to catch up with all that has gone on in their lives since we last met.  On Sunday, the rain came, we all said good-bye at the end of the day and planned on the next event where we will meet again.

It is always good to sell my books and to get positive feedback from those who have read my books. It is also great to visit with all.

Molalla is a town of supporting and caring people. That is why I love it here so much. I love them all and I know they love me back.

EVENT

Now that Winter is slowing down, things are starting to happen. The Ledding Library in Milwaukee, Oregon has asked me and my friend, Author L.Lee Shaw, to come and talk about our new books that are out. We will also set up a small table there to sell our books. Lee and I will be at the Ledding Library on April 19, 2012 at 6pm.
Hope to see you there,
Carrol

Wild West Art Fest.

AND THEY'RE OFF------

Local author Carrol Haushalter joins children in a stick horse racing game at Fox Park last Saturday during the Wild West Art Fest. The event included art displays, historical demonstrations, vendors, tall tale storytelling, live music and more----all with a western theme. Before their stick horse race, the children enjoyed a story of cowboy legend Pecos Bill told by Haushalter next to a pretend campfire.

2nd Friday

Hey all,
In Molalla we have what we call 2nd Friday. The second Friday of each month the town's merchants stay open until 9pm. Each store has a special happening on 2nd Friday.
I will be at Spurs (a western store)from 6pm-9pm reading from my book, Trail to Tomorrow and a little bit from my book that is soon to be published.
See you there!
Happy Trails,
Carrol
